Plugin to listen to .omg in Winamp Part 2

Remember this thread?
http://minidisct.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=9830

Had some spare hours today, officialy done with my semester since this morning

I took the VideoObject plugin and patched it quite a bit (I know it's kind of illegal to "reverse engineer" compiled software, the official website is down)
Try it, let me know how it goes

Known bug: The time displayed in the playlist isn't right until you play the file

I wish I know how to code apps, so I could make my own and take extra infos off SS DB

Download: http://digitalmd.ptprophecy.com/in_atrac3.zip
Unzip the DLL to your plugin folder
Run Winamp and you should see omg/oma in the File Type, select them if you want to associate them with Winamp (Un-check them in SS)

The config window is totally useless since you can't see the main window
Original plugin: http://winamp.com/plugins/details.php?id=109518

It doesn't work. I have Winamp 2.91, Windows XP, installed the plugin. I see the file association, but it won't actually play.

Works fine, other than having the bitrate show up. Using Winamp v5 (Free) and standard skin. I was going to complain about the CPU usage rate, but then I realized that I had some Vis running.

Now can you get the diskwriter working (does not work, I didn't expect it to either). Hehehe. Oh, crossfading and EQ has no effect on the output either. I can assume that this is due to SonicStage, no?

So you NEED to use v5? That's kinda crappy. I love winamp 2.91.

=(

Just tried with 5 pro, doesn't work. I put in the dll in the correct folder and clicked the options for winamp to associate the files with winamp. Double click on the song, nothing.

Bebop: You may need to register the decoder (omgdec.ax)
Search for it and then:
tart > Run > REGSVR32.EXE path\to\omgdec.ax

Damage: It's just a direct show plugin, similar to the wma one, the output is directly sent to a renderer (directsound/waveout)

Bebop: Can you play them in WMP?

Edit: I wonder, there's also a "dummy" omgdec.ax (12kb)
The real one is 145kb (I have version 3.4.1.14179 and 3.4.1.13301)

Same here. Using WinAmp 5.02, doesn't work.

I have omgdec.ax registered successfully (the 12KB dummy won't register).

Ah... My Xvid install had a Morgan Stream Switcher module installed as well, which interferes with audio playback. I tracked down the Morgan Stream Switcher module and unregistered it (regsvr32 /u) and now WinAmp works.

It helps to use Graphedt from the DirectX SDK to tinker with this stuff, makes it very obvious what's going on.

Something's weird about it though, the WinAmp visualizations aren't getting any data, none of them do anything in response to the music being played.
